It’s quite possible that I have the best friend in the world. She’s truly selfless and always works tirelessly to life me up when I feel down (which can be annoyingly often). Officially my oldest friend; while others have dropped by the wayside she’s remained consistent through the extreme differences of our adolescence, to discovering our similarities in young adulthood, and then understanding our opposing temperaments while doing business together.
Today I turned 30, and for the past seven days I’ve had the joyous pleasure of opening one gift every day with an encouraging postcard attached and a personal note. It’s been by far the most creative and thoughtful gesture I’ve experienced. A real romantic at heart I wish I could have thought this up myself. It’s a real testament to the inner beauty that she has and lets shine onto those around her.
